Our world is ever-changing, not just in a global sense, but in a personal sense - our lives are full of uncertainties.  I used to think that as I got older life would smooth out, things would get easier and I would have more time, but,… the opposite is true.   Time is like gravity, it can work for you or against you.  When I look in the mirror, I realize time is against me!   And it feels like I'm running out of time for the things I would really like to do…things in my bucket list, like climbing Mt Everest - just kidding!   Getting older is obviously a certainty of life, and with it brings uncertainty and things out of our control.  But one thing that is in our control - in whom we place our Hope!  You can choose like the “weeping prophet” of Lamentations (Jeremiah), to place your hope in God, His word and His faithfulness!

You can live with certainty in an uncertain world, because “through the LORD’s mercies (you) are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is thy faithfulness.  The LORD is my portion, says my soul.  Therefore I hope in Him!” 

(Lamentations 3: 22-24)
