Peace can be elusive in this day and age due in part to: wars and rumors of wars; break-up of marriages and relationships; unresolved family issues; aging parents; financial instability; physical illnesses; natural catastrophes; wayward children or grandchildren; unsaved loved ones; moral decline of our country and world; state of the church at large; unpleasant and unexpected negative circumstances in your life - the list could go on and on….But the good news of the Gospel is that there is an inner peace available for you and me, no matter the circumstances or situations in our life and world. If Jesus possesses your heart, if He has reign and rule of your life, you can experience true peace - peace the world cannot give you. You can experience heaven on earth, right now, when you are part of the eternal Kingdom of God, and as Barney E. Warren penned, it is The Kingdom of Peace - “Tis a kingdom of peace, it is reigning within, It shall ever increase in my soul; We possess it right here when He saves from all sin, And t’will last while the ages shall roll!” This peace is grounded on Faith in Jesus Christ and His Word.Jesus said, “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14: 27)Jesus’ birth brought Hope - Love - Joy and Peace to all of humankind.It’s available to all who will believe and receive the greatest give of all - Jesus!
