The church of God reformation movement have some great hymn’s and hymn writers, one of those being “What a Mighty God We Serve” by Barney E. Warren 

“Our Father’s wondrous works we see in the earth and sea and sky; He rules o’er all in majesty, from His royal throne on high.  What a mighty God we serve!  What a mighty God we serve!  Reigning now above on His throne of love, what a mighty God we serve!”

At times our God doesn’t “seem” so mighty.  When a friend or family member dies “seemingly” before their time - God doesn’t “seem” so mighty.  When you witness a culture that is morally, ethically and spiritually  spinning out of control, God doesn’t “seem” so mighty.  When one is in financial crisis, when marriages and relationships are broken up, God doesn’t seem so mighty.  When a culture is trying to “redefine” marriage and gender, God doesn’t “seem” so mighty - where is God in all of this!? 

If you are a Christ follower, God is in you via the Holy Spirit - “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!” (1 John 4:4)  He has given you His word as an anchor to stay the course despite the circumstances that are not necessary favorable in this life.  God’s character is under attack by the “ills” of our culture - Christianity is under attack.  But let God be true and every man a liar!  God’s word never changes!  God’s character never changes. His character was manifested through Christ, God incarnate!  His word (Genesis - Revelation) describes the true and unchanging character of creator God!  Only God creates out of nothing - “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth!”  Only God, through Jesus Christ has the power to save the soul!  Only God has the power to resurrect!  Only God has the power to change the human heart!

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…His name will be called…MIGHTY GOD…!”  I hope you can agree with the writer Barney Warren - “what a mighty God we serve!”

Submit to Jesus as your Savor and Lord.  Trust Him in life and death.  Look to Him for strength to live in the present.  Hold on to the promises of His word - He is coming again to make all things new!
