    We preach Christ!

    March 10, 2024

Je-sus!  Je-sus!  Je-sus!  Je-sus!  We preach Christ!  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” (Ro.1:16)

We preach Christ to the unbeliever so the they might be saved.  We preach Christ to the believer so that they might be moved to love Him and obey Him -  become a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ.  That they might be moved to “know Jesus more clearly, to love Him more dearly, and to follow Him more nearly.”  Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, the beginning and the end, the alpha and omega.  Jesus is God’s revelation to mankind.  Christ is risen - He is risen indeed!  We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ not just on Easter but each and everyday!  We preach Christ just not on Easter but on each and everyday!  Leonard Sweet and Frank Viola coauthored a great little book titled ‘Jesus Manifesto, restoring the supremacy and sovereignty of Jesus Christ.’  We must restore Jesus to His rightful place in our life!  We must restore Jesus to His rightful place in the church at large!  Jesus is to reign and rule right now - ‘Lord take first place in my life!”

Is Jesus supreme and sovereign in your life?  Is Jesus supreme and sovereign in the life of the church?  It is only “…in Christ all shall be made alive.” (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:22)  Because of Christ I am made alive - a present reality (born again of the Spirit) and a future reality (new glorified body)!  “By the grace of God I am what I am…”

“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain - He washed it white as snow!”

    We preach Christ!
