The church in Thyatira was in jeopardy of God’s judgement for going along with an “adulterated gospel”, or that seducing spirit of “Jezebel.”  It is a very serious sin to lead others into false doctrine of immoral living.  Jesus said if you do not repent He will no longer be your sympathetic High Priest, but your divine Judge!  I know, not very politically correct, but “biblically” correct and an urgent message as we are facing a famine in our land that the prophet Amos spoke of - “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord.” (8:11)

  As we continue to do some self-examination of our spiritual condition this New Year,  let us take serious those words of Jesus written to the seven churches in Asia Minor, repent and look to our reward; “I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God” - “I will give you the crown of life” - “shall not be hurt by the second death” - “I will give him a new name” - “I will give him the morning star” - “I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels” - “I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God” - “I will grant to sit with Me on My throne”
