As I visited the gravesite of loved ones this past week to honor their memory, I was also reminded of the exceedingly awfulness and destruction  of sin.  Because of original sin the bible says, “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)  We are all going to die someday, unless we are among those who are alive and remain when Jesus comes back.  But I am also reminded of our “hope” beyond the grave.  Because of Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of our sins and receive His Righteousness and be justified before a Holy God.  But our new life in Christ (Christ in us) on this earth is only the beginning.  The bible reminds you and me to “put on the breastplate of righteousness.”(cf. Eph.6:14b)  You see, the righteousness of Christ we received (cf. Philippians 3:9) upon initial salvation is “to produce a righteousness of life, that is, conformity to the will of God” in our lives - which is a daily endeavor.   How are you doing in your conformity to God’s Word today?
