    Be Ready

    March 29, 2020

I, like everyone else am growing wearing of this virus - it has literally turned our world upside down.   Is this virus one of the signs of the end of time and the beginning of sorrows that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24?  We don’t know, but we know that Jesus’ return is imminent, that is why Jesus warned, “watch…be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”   I pray that we use this time wisely and really examine our personal relationship with Jesus Christ - “examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith.  Test yourselves.  Do you know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you are disqualified.” (2 Corinthians 13: 5)

Times like this should help us to realize our own mortality - one in one die.  The bible reminds us that “it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.  To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” (Hebrews 9:27-28)

God loves you!  Jesus died for you!   This world is not your home, but the one that is to come!  The bible says, “let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD” (cf. Jeremiah 9: 24)

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to  present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.  Amen (Jude)
