Leonard Sweet and Frank Viola co-authored a great book entitled, “Jesus Manifesto”  The main theme is Restoring the Supremacy and Sovereignty of Jesus Christ, in our lives and in the life of the church - I would agree that is a present need.  I think we would all agree that all that is going on in our world, at the root, is spiritual warfare.  As we recognize the real battle being spiritual, we too must “Recognize Our Sufficiency In Christ & The Power of Prayer!”   Christians (followers of Christ) fight in this spiritual warfare from the side of Victory!  Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ at calvary we can live a victorious Christian life!  We too must get serious about our prayer life and pray in accordance with God’s word and His will for our lives and the life of His Church.  We know He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (cf. 2 Peter 3:9)  Are you praying for others to be saved?!   God has promised in His word, “…God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it,” (cf. 1 Corinthians 10: 13)  Are you praying that the Lord would keep you from temptation and evil?   These are only a few of many promises God has given us in His word to live out a victorious Christian life!
