Reaching the lost & the Great Commission

    January 17, 2023

Vision for 2023.  “Reaching the lost & the Great Commission” - is a call to personal evangelism!

The great commission is still the mission of His church.  Individually and corporately as the body of Christ we need a burden for those that do not know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord.

Jesus’ passion should be our passion - lost people.  Jesus said of Himself “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Lk 19: 10)  Jesus promises to save those who come to Him.  Saved from what? - from the judgement to come.  Love tells the truth!  The Bible says, “But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men.” (2 Peter 3: 7)  That text goes on to remind us, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise.”   Yes, judgement for sin is coming - that is the truth!  But today is the day of grace, that same text goes on further to say, “but (the Lord) is longsuffering toward us (the world - the unsaved), not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.” (cf. 2 Peter 3: 9)  God’s greatest desire is that you spend an eternity in heaven with Him and all the redeemed!  He has provided the way - the only way!

Jesus said, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3: 18)

We can become so distracted by the things of life that we lose sight of the “big picture” - our mission and purpose.  People “desperately” need the Lord - for this life and the one to come!
