Becky and I have so enjoyed our stay in Alaska with Kristi, Sam and Joel this week.  The greatest part was just spending time with them - Joel Amar is growing up so fast too!  Sam was our own personal tour guide and led us to some majestic places that words or pictures can’t do justice.  And now, as I pen this my heart is torn as I prepare to go home.  Why? - because I have loved ones here and loved ones back home.  There is a saying that says, “home is where the heart is.”   Based on that, I must have three homes, one in Alaska, one in Indiana, and one in Heaven!   I’m reminded that the love that we feel for our loved ones and the desire to be with them doesn’t compare with the love that Jesus has for us and His desire to be with us.  The Bible gives us only a glimpse of God’s love and the things He has in store for us - His love is exponentially greater than words can describe, for  “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)    Jesus loves you and His greatest desire is to have a relationship with you - NOW and into eternity.  I am so thankful for the hope of the gospel!  The Bible says there will be a day when we will be truly home and there will be no more good byes - this is all based upon on the person and work of Jesus Christ.  The Bibles says,  

“For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” -

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10: 9)

Are you saved?!   The greatest gift you can give to your loved ones is to know that you are saved!
