“…He sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” - JESUS (cf. Luke 4:18) The prophet Isaiah prophesied 700 years before Christ would enter our world, His mission - “…by His stripes we are healed.” (cf. Isaiah 53: 5b) By divine intervention, Jesus came that we might through Him receive the ultimate healing - healing of our sins.
We all know that eventually we are going to physically die, but God still sometimes, in His sovereign will heals physically and adds years to lives, such is the case with Hezekiah (cf. 2 Kings 20: 1-7). Yes, God has raised up the people in the medical field that at times will lengthen lives, and help with the quality of life, and we thank God for them. But sometimes, when the doctors say there is no more that modern medicine can do, God will bring about divine healing - divine intervention as a response to prayer because of faith. Yes, our God is still in the healing business!
“No instructed Christian can help acknowledge the power of the Lord to heal the body as well as to save the soul. He who credits the miracles of the New Testament, as every sincere Christian must, necessarily recognizes the healing power of God…God can heal. God has healed. God does heal. He heals in answer to prayer.’ - Dr. H.A.Ironside
Praise be to God! Jehovah - Rophe, “Lord Who Heals”
