“For We Know - Blessed Assurance”     2 Corinthians 5: 1-8

In the words of the apostle Peter, “for this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.   Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you…”...

“One Body - One Church”   1 Corinthians 12: 12-27

To the few that actually have read my pastor’s desk over the years, I hope that it has brought insight and encouragement.   I don’t know what the Lord has in store for Becky and I at the first of the year but I hope to continue posting my weekly writing, it just may be called something...

“…the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”   James 5:16

Please pray for our country and for our leaders that America will unit as “One Nation Under God!”   Pray that we will quit the negative rhetoric, and agree to disagree on certain issues.   Especially as Christ followers there is no place for all...

“The Kingdom of God - Its Timing, Power, Purpose & Hope!”       Acts 1:1-11

“There’s a scene of its grandness before me, of its greatness there can be no end; it is joy, it is peace, it is glory, in my heart, how these riches do blend!   ’Tis a kingdom of peace, it is reigning within, it shall ever increase in my soul; we...

“Work & Rest - God Ordained”   Luke 10:1-2

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

God has ordained and sanctified human life, made in His image.   God has ordained and sanctified marriage between a man and a woman.   God has ordained and sanctified ‘work and rest!”   In all this, because of His love he has bestowed on us, He still gives us...

Jesus asks, “what do you want Me to do for you?”   Mark 10:35-45

Smith - “The wind is moving but I am standing still.   A life of pages waiting to be filled.   A heart that’s hopeful, a head that’s full of dreams, but this becoming is harder than it seems…feels like, I’m looking for a reason, roaming through the night to find my place in this world, my...

“Complacency”     Zephaniah 1:12

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men women to do nothing.”

- Edmund Burke

That statement is a great definition of complacency.   Complacency is a cancer in our Nation.   Complacency is a cancer in the church at large.   It is a slow cancer almost...

“The End is the Beginning”     Daniel 12:1-2

There is always a first for everything. There is always an end and a beginning.

The end of grade school, the beginning of high school.   The end of high school, the beginning of college or higher education.   The end of college, the beginning of a career.   The end of...

“Can These Bones Live?!”       Ezekiel 37:1-14

This August marks my 49th spiritual birthday!   I by faith accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord on August 7th, 1977!   I came from being spiritually dead and without hope to becoming born again and full of hope!   I simply believed and received what Jesus did on...
