    Thankful

    November 23, 2017

Happy Thanksgiving!  I’m thankful that our creator has revealed Himself to us through His creation, His word and through others.  I’m thankful that I can know God as my heavenly Father because of my relationship with His Son - Jesus Christ.  I’m thankful for the Holy Spirit.  If it were not for the Holy Spirit I would never have been convicted of my sin, and the need to repent of my sin and look to Christ for salvation and for new life.  I’m thankful that as a new creation I have life beyond the grave.  I’m thankful that the Holy Spirit continues to work in me.  It is the Holy Spirit that guides, teaches, helps, convicts, heals, restores, reveals…..  I’m thankful for His grace and mercy.  I’m thankful that Jesus is coming back some day to make all things new.

I am thankful for my family, and that many of them know Christ.  I’m thankful to have people to love and that love me back.  I’m thankful for the trials and tests that keep me on my knees, realizing my total dependence upon Christ and the continued working of the Holy Spirit in my life.

I’m thankful for all of the essential personnel that are working sacrificially today to take care of the sick and keep us safe, domestic and abroad.

Happy Thanksgiving!  God bless and Godspeed!

    In His Service,

    Pastor Rodney
