“All things work together for good” Read Romans 8: 18-28
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills - from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” - Ps.121:1-2
Life is messy. We are broken people living in a broken world - precisely why Jesus came. Jesus came to make all things new. We can experience that newness now, through the new birth, but life is still messy. Someday Jesus is coming back again to restore all things (no more mess)! His word declares He is going to make a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells. But until then, life is messy. The redemption of mankind via the cross was messy business! Jesus didn’t come to save us from all the mess but to give us help and hope in the mess until He comes back to make all things new. I’ve come to a conclusion, due in part, to things out of my control that I will not discuss (the Spirit, my helper and intercessor knows). The conclusion is this, either God is the God of all or He is not God at all! Meaning, by faith I choose to believe all the promises of God (over 3,000) or I don’t believe any of it! The God that said, “For He (God) so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” - is the same God that said, “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
It’s easier for us to believe John 3:16, but hard to accept Romans 8:28. You mean…. Yes, all things! Not that all things are good, but if by faith we will place our trust and hope in Him, give Him our mess - He will use it ultimately for good, even if we don’t see it on this side of heaven. Church is it time we either believe and obey the whole council of God’s word - or none of it! I am choosing by faith to embrace the whole council of God’s word - how about you?! The God of heaven and earth has this (you)!
“The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore” (Ps121: 8). Amen!
