    Honor the LORD

    November 1, 2025

“Honor the LORD”  Read Proverbs 3:1-10

We honor the LORD, one, by learning to wholly putting our trust in Him - not always easy, and sometimes it means “letting go.”

    G. Campbell Morgan well said, “Our joy is in proportion to our trust.  Our trust is in proportion to our knowledge of God.”

A living faith in troubled times becomes even more dependent upon God.

We might not always know the “why?” and “how long?”  We may still have more questions than answers, but a living faith continues to trust in the sovereignty of God and His word.  We continue to walk by faith even if our circumstances don’t change.  I like how Warren Wiersbe puts it, “God doesn’t always change the circumstances, but He can change us to meet the circumstances.  That’s what it means to live by faith.”

The prophet Habakkuk had a godly burden and vision for his nation and God’s people.  He responded by waiting upon God and prayer.  As he prayed “O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years!”  he continued to worship the LORD and recognize His sovereignty in all things - “…His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise…You divided the earth with rivers.  The mountains saw You and trembled…the sun and moon stood still in their habitation…I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.  The LORD God is my strength…”

The LORD did bring revival, but His way and His timing.  May we be a people of faith, a people of faith with a godly burden and response to our trouble times.  A people of faith that trusts in the one true God and in our Savior and Lord - the Lord Jesus Christ!

Corrie Ten Boom well said, “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”

Are you anxious, are you worried?  Then,  “…let your requests be made know to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” - Phil. 4: 6-7

‘Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart…in ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths… Honor the LORD with (ALL) your possessions…so your barns will be filled with plenty.”
